Police identify victim of Providence’s 15th homicide

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Police have identified the victim of a stabbing death that happened Wednesday night on the city’s South Side.

Lt. Roger Aspinall said Julio Perez, 36, was the victim of the homicide that took place on 121 Moore St.

Miguel Tebalan-Rivera, 33, was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday after turning himself into police. Police said Tebalan-Rivera stabbed his guest to death in his third-floor apartment.

The homicide is the city’s 15th of the year.
